We are currently in the process of
trying to install some anti-SPAM features in the registration settings for
the forums. And…we broke the
registration settings, so at this time, no new members can register.
This should be back up in the next few
days.

Site News
So far so good. We are off to a slow but steady start as
we have received 145 unique visitors to the site over the last month. The forums are starting to get some meat
to them, and we appreciate all the participation so far.
One last thing: Hopefully by the end of
the week we’ll have an invite page setup that you can send out
invites to others who may interested in the site.

Does God Exist?
Web and Article Links
On May 9th, Ray
Comfort and Kirk Cameron (founders of TheWayofTheMaster.com Christian
ministry) participated in a debate with Brian Sapient and
“Kelly” from the Rational Response Squad (an Atheistic
Website). This debate was featured
on the ABC show Nightline and was moderated by Martin Bashir.
link to ABC’s article covering the debate.
Comfort’s response to the debate. (Edit: 6/14, Unfortunately this
link is now down)
Rational Response Squad’s response to the debate.
There are video clips of
the debate on the ABC link, YouTube, and then
linked from the Rational Response Squad’s site. There seems to be different video clips
floating around being the edited and unedited versions done by ABC, so you
might keep that in mind if you are interested in looking into the debate.

Was Darwin
Wrong?
Article Link
From
NationalGeographic.com:
“Evolution
by natural selection, the central concept of the life's work of Charles
Darwin, is a theory. It's a theory about the origin of adaptation,
complexity, and diversity among Earth's living creatures. If you are
skeptical by nature, unfamiliar with the terminology of science, and
unaware of the overwhelming evidence, you might even be tempted to say that
it's "just" a theory. In the same sense, relativity as described
by Albert Einstein is "just" a theory. The notion that Earth
orbits around the sun rather than vice versa, offered by Copernicus in 1543, is a theory. Continental drift is a theory. The
existence, structure, and dynamics of atoms? Atomic theory. Even
electricity is a theoretical construct, involving electrons, which are tiny
units of charged mass that no one has ever seen. Each of these theories is
an explanation that has been confirmed to such a degree, by observation and
experiment, that knowledgeable experts accept it as fact. That's what
scientists mean when they talk about a theory: not a dreamy and unreliable
speculation, but an explanatory statement that fits the evidence. They
embrace such an explanation confidently but provisionally—taking it
as their best available view of reality, at least until some severely
conflicting data or some better explanation might come along.”
